Cash Pool
This is a collection of cash contributions from various Givers towards a gift or occasion for a Receiver. Cash Pooling allows desirable and even expensive gifts possible for the receiver.

General Pool
This is the Cash Pool for an entire event/occasion. If a giver cannot decide specific gift towards which his/her contributions should apply, he/she can choose to contribute to the General Pool. The Receiver has the choice of using funds from General Pool towards purchase of any gift thats in the registry for the occasion.

Gift Pool
Givers can contribute partial cash towards a specific gift. This makes expensive gifts possible by pooling cash from various family and friends. This is the Cash Pool for a given Gift in the registry for the occasion. Receiver can use all funds contributed to this pool to purchase the gift.

Private Pool
A particular group of Givers (e.g friends, family or co-workers) can decide to privately pool for a gift. One of the giver (Private Pool Admin) can setup a private pool for a Gift and inform the rest of the givers about the Private Pool Code, which can be used to collect contributions for the gift. This avoids the hastle of manually co-ordinating and collecting checks etc from individuals in the group or running cubicle to cubicle. You can setup on-behalf registry to give a gift to a friend e.g co-worker. All the coworkers contribute privately towards this gift and then you can make the actual purchase for the friend.

Cash Pooling
The Giver can partially contribute towards the gift purchase. This is useful for expensive gifts where other Givers can come together to make the gift possible.

Fully Contribute
The Giver can exclusively contribute towards the entire gift purchase. Note that the actual purchase of the gift is done by the Receiver. No gift is mailed to the giver.

A Receiver can choose to have some of his/her registrys to be viewable only by a limited audience. Receiver can decide a Secure code, which can be given to certain people for special contributions.

Personalized Greeting Card
A giver can optionally request a Greeting card that he/she can present to Receiver at the occasion or event. The card is store-quality printed 5*7 size greeting card  which will be mailed to Givers billing address. The sample shows the inside of the card. The front of the card will be any image from our catalog. If the customization fields are left blank, a blank card will be mailed. GiftWisdom partners with CardStore.com for this service. If you choose to 'Hide Name', your contribution amount is displayed but your name will appear as 'Anonymous' in the contributors list for a gift pool or general pool.

Gift Coupon
This field in Gift setup allows you to record any coupons you may have to use for this purchase. The system does not use this information to calculate discounted price etc. It is provided only to assist you in recording valuable coupons in a central place.

Access Code for Private Pools
Every Private Pool has a unique 'Access Code'. As a giver and Private Pool creator, you can send this Access Code to a group of people via email so that they can contribute together. As a Private Pool creator, this code along with your Pool Admin password will let you modify the Private Pool settings.

Admin Password for Private Pools
A Giver who wishes to setup a private pool for a gift, must choose a Admin Password so that he/she can change the pool attributes such as Minimum Contribution Amount etc. The Pool Name and Admin Password together can be used to lookup a pool to manage it.
